Supported by the experience of his father, Bipin Mehta, and his sister, Bhavya Mehta, he spent his formative years mastering the complexities of the Indian and Global market. By 18, he was independently managing textile exports, navigating the logistical and regulatory demands of international consignments for clients in Germany and Slovakia.
At 20, identifying a critical gap in the European food industry, Hitarth founded The Spice Ship. His research revealed a pressing need for Indian-origin onion and garlic solutions that didn’t just offer flavor, but met the rigorous technical and regulatory standards of the EU.
